About this event
Mahinda Club organised the successful launch and republication of “F. L. Woodward – Out of His Life and Thought”, authored by Mr. D. H. Pandita Gunewardene, on 27 May at Olcott Hall, Mahinda College.
The event also served as an occasion to commemorate the enduring legacy of F. L. Woodward, one of Mahinda College’s visionary principals. The Club was honoured to welcome distinguished Mahindian Dr. Nihal Somaratne as the Chief Guest.
As part of this initiative, for every copy purchased, a complimentary book will be donated to a school library, helping make the life and contributions of F. L. Woodward accessible to students across the island.
The initiative aims to inspire a new generation to follow the example of F. L. Woodward, whose dedication to education, culture, and moral and ethical values made a lasting contribution to Mahinda College and society.
The republication and organisation of the event were undertaken by Mahinda Club.
The book is available for purchase at:
